Four Fantastic Voices

The Blackstar HT-20RH MkII has two channels to use, each of which boasting two footswitchable voices.

Firstly, there’s a beautifully pristine Clean channel. With Voice 1 active, you’ll enjoy “American” tone that’s clean, bright and refined with tight and consistent bass response.

Voice 2 on the Clean channel gives you classic “British” tone with extremely responsive chime and a looser bottom end. Drive it hard and you can push this voice into some nice mid-range overdrive.

Volume and Tone controls allow you to further adjust your sound on the clean channel.

Over on the Overdrive channel, there are two more voices for you to use.

Voice 1 gives you rich and natural sounding, classic “British” Blackstar overdrive. Play it clean or crank it up for some Super Crunch.

Voice 2 gives you an awesome “Hi Gain” sound that has some raw high end with tight yet resonant low-end reminiscent of the tones you get from the popular HT Venue MkII.

Shape Your Sound to Perfection

A series of controls on the face of the Blackstar HT-20RH MkII amp head allows you to really tailor your tone.

In the OD Equalisation section, you’ve got bass, middle and treble EQ controls that allow you to boost and cut said frequencies and next to these, there’s an ISF control.

Using the patented Infinite Shape Feature you’re able to really contour and shape the HT-20RH’s sound.

Going fully anti-clockwise scoops the midrange for some American inspired tonal character while turning it fully clockwise gives you a more British sound with pronounced midrange and top end.

Great Features

The Blackstar HT-20R MkII allows you to go full whack with 20-watts of awesome EL84 valve power.

However, you can also turn the amp head down to 2-watts which gives you lower volume without sacrificing that authentic valve tone. There’s also a headphone output on the back if you want to enjoy some private practice.

An mp3/line input can also be found on the back which is great for backing tracks or just playing some of your favourite songs through the amp.

A USB audio connection allows you record directly onto your computer for the ultimate in recording convenience.

You will also find 1 x 16 OHM, 1 x 8 OHM and 2 x 16 OHM speaker output options.

Emulated Output

This means you can plug the amp directly into an audio interface or PA system and get fantastic cabinet sound without needing a separate speaker cab or microphone. You have the option of emulating either a 4x12 or 1x12 cab.
