Custom Wound Humbuckers

Sitting pretty in the Neck and Bridge positions on the Revstar RS820CR, you'll find a pair of custom-wound YGD V5 humbuckers. Featuring Alnico V magnets, silver baseplates, and heavy Formvar wire, the pickups offer a rich, open voice, that perfectly balances both Vintage and Modern tones.

These pickups offer outstanding clarity at any gain level, and are as versatile as you could wish for - and that's even before the Dry Switch has come into play.

The Dry Switch

Designed by Yamaha exclusively for their Revstar range, this "Dry Switch" is activated via the Push/Pull function on your Master Tone control pot. When activated, this passive circuit filters out your guitar's low frequencies, giving you the punch and clarity of a single coil pickup - but without any of that annoying 60 cycle hum!
