Offering sublime soundscapes within a design that weighs just under 14kg, the Yamaha MODX8+ 88 Key Music Synthesizer is a spectacular keyboard synthesizer that comes with a graded hammer design to give modern-day players gravitating playability. Ideal for a multitude of scenarios, the MODX8+ is the essential synth whether you're playing on stage, recording in the studio or simply just streaming.
Taking inspiration from its bigger brother, the Montage, the MODX8+ utilises two synthesis engines, one being the sample-based AWM2 Synthesis Engine (Advanced Wave Memory 2), the other being the FM-X Synthesis Engine (Frequency Modulation). Both can be used simultaneously, enabling performers to unlock and achieve impressive and complex soundscapes which are perfect for a wide selection of projects.
One of the most standout functions is Smart Morph, which as the name suggests allows you to morph between FM-X sounds to achieve a selection of refreshingly new and interactive sounds. On the other hand, Motion Control allows control of up to 128 parameters at the same time, which can either be automated or manually controlled with the onboard Super Knob.
