The perfect monitoring solution for small-room studios where space is a luxury, the HSI series takes the renowned accuracy, imaging and adaptable EQ response of the industry-standard HS5 Speakers and incorporates an adaptable mounting system fitted to the back of the monitors so they can be attached to walls and angled in any direction - perfectly equipped for any scenario thrown your way.

Ultra-Flat, Accurate Nearfield Monitors

Unlike other entry-level studio monitors, the HS5 doesn't muddy or colour your mix, and is considered one of the most accurate nearfield monitors at this price point. Translate your mix across other systems and you'll hear what the HS5s can do for your productions.

The Legacy Lives On

Go to almost any major studio in the world and you're likely to find a pair of Yamaha's famous NS-10M monitor speakers. Acknowledged by professional sound engineers and producers to deliver an unflinchingly honest reflection of your mixes. The redesigned HS series builds on this legacy by providing similar detail and accuracy, in a more convenient Active enclosure.

Trademark Design

The redesigned HS models feature an advanced Low Resonance bass-reflex enclosure built around a traditional three-way mitered joint technique. This technique, often associated with the most sophisticated architectural design, sees the corners of the speaker very firmly anchored, leading to dramatically improved durability and the elimination of any unwanted resonance that can colour the original sound.

Yamaha engineers have designed and produced new transducers that deliver exceptionally clear, natural and detailed sound. The new transducers deploy Yamaha's advanced magnetic field design to more efficiently regulate the flow of magnetic response, contributing significantly to the purity of the sound.

Adaptive EQ Control

The Yamaha HS5Is feature a rear switch for Room control and High Trim response. Depending on the size and shape of your room, you can cut the low frequency response by -2dB or -4dB, further helping to eliminate unwanted 'boom' and resonance in smaller room setups. The High Trim allows you to Boost or Cut the high frequencies at 2kHz to compensate.

Key Features:

  • 2-way bass-reflex bi-amplified nearfield studio monitor with 5" cone woofer and 1" dome tweeter
  • 54Hz - 30kHz frequency response
  • 45W LF plus 25W HF bi-amp system for high-performance 70W power amplification
