Crafting the FG-TA TransAcoustic

With a dreadnought body style, the Yamaha FG-TA produces a rich sound with great low end and a lot of volume.

Solid Spruce has been used for the top of the FG-TA as is it is incredibly responsive and dynamic, making it suitable for all playing styles.

The body also features a new scalped bracing pattern to provide a louder and stronger sound than before.

Through rigorous research and development utilising cutting-edge analysis and simulation technology, Yamaha found this new bracing pattern ideal, and even though lighter than previous bracing, it does not compromise on the stability and durability of the top board.

Hand-fitted via a dovetail neck joint for enhanced tone and stability, the FG-TA sports a Mahogany neck which holds a classic Rosewood fretboard.

Amazing Effects and Electronics

What really sets Yamaha TransAcoustic guitars apart from other acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars out there, apart from the amazing craftsmanship, is the amazing built-in effects.

Without using any external effects or amplification, the FG-TA produces beautifully rich reverb and chorus that you hear directly from the guitar – you don't need to plug it in to anything!

Of course, when it comes to play live – you can plug in and enjoy the same great sound via the System70/SRT Piezo Pickup electronics.

You have full control over the reverb, chorus and volume with easy-to-use controls conveniently placed on the guitar so you can always get the sound you're looking for, whenever you need.

Incredible Tone

The FG-TA TransAcoustic is a great example of the premium build quality coming from Yamaha.

A number of features aid the overall quality of the guitar and enhance its tone such as the thin finish for improved sound and durability, the hand-fitted dovetail neck joint for enhanced tone and stability and thinner body woods that improve resonance.
