Crafting the Taylor 712ce

With its Grand Concert body, the Taylor 712ce gives you a more focused sound than you get from larger body types such as dreadnought or jumbo.

This character means it is ideal for solo performance, fingerstyle playing and recording.

The top is made from Lutz Spruce, a natural hybrid of Sitka and White Spruce, which gives you a powerful response with rich tone and a lot of volume.

For the back and sides, Indian Rosewood has been used because of its rich tone and versatility.

Attached to the body with a sturdy scarf joint is a Neo-Tropical Mahogany neck which boasts a satin finish for excellent playability and comfort.

Atop the next is a beautifully smooth Ebony fretboard holding 20 frets and is adorned with pale green abalone “Reflections” inlays.

Allowing for easy reach of the higher frets, the body features an elegantly sloping Venetian cutaway.
