ESP Ltd EC-1000 Single Cutaway Electric Guitar, Vintage BlackSince the 1980's, ESP (and later, ESP Ltd) have been producing professional-grade imitations of famous guitars, but giving them unique twists to make them very much their own monster - the EC-1000 is no exception, with it's familiar body shape conjuring mental images of some of the biggest names in modern music history.
Vintage looks, great performance
This deluxe, professional-grade, solid-bodied guitar has be designed to offer the tone, feel, looks and quality that today's working professional needs in an instrument, but at a price that typical musicians could still afford. With incredible looks, premium-quality features and the hallmark agressive punch supplied by the active EMG 81/60 pickup combination, it's no wonder that this is one of ESP's best-selling guitars.
The Pickups
The combination of neck and bridge humbucker in this guitar gives you plenty of tonal choices to work with, especially with the pickup selector and tone/volume pots at your disposal too - with the correct settings you can produce sounds to fit pretty much all of your musical needs.
In the neck position there's an EMG-60 humbucker, a pickup that packs plenty of output with a nice balance of thick, boosted mids, big lows and singing highs. The close aperture coils produce an array of rich harmonic overtones and plenty of sustain, and due to the ceramic magnets they deliver a fully treble response with lots of output, making them perfect for distinct single-note solos.
Sitting in the bridge position is the ever popular EMG-81. This pickup utilises powerful ceramic magnets with close aperture coils, and produces a tone that's been speifically designed with detailed intensity, incredibly amounts of high end cut and fluid sustain. The nature of this pickup ensures that your leads will slice right through even the most dense of mixes.
Premier Components
In addition to the pickups, the EC-1000 hosts an array of other premier components. These include LTD locking tuners and Tonepros locking TOM bridge/tailpiece (which work perfectly together to ensure you can play as agressively as you like and your tuning and intonation won't be affected), a 3Pc Mahogany neck with Thin U profile (for fast, easy access to each and every fret whilst feeling as comfortable as you could wish for), and an array of premium-quality adornments (such as the Ebony fretboard, gold hardware, gold body, neck and headstock binding etc.).
The Price
Although the price may seem inaccessible to many people, it's worth noting that this is a serious, professional grade instrument intended for working professional musicians - it's most certainly more of a financial investment than a spur-of-the-moment buy. That being said though, here at PMT we have a wide range of Home Delivery options available (including 0% interest), helping you spread the cost over several months to make it that bit more palatable. In addition to this, order the guitar online before 3pm today and you will qualify for our fast, free and reliable next day delivery service!
