Premium-Quality Construction

Featuring top-end processing power - a combination of a high-octane DSP and evolved GK technology - and three simultaneous instruments, the BOSS SY-1000 allows you to create pretty much any sound you can imagine.

In addition to this, each of the footswitches is fully configurable, and with plenty of outputs/external control options, the possibilities of the SY-1000 are simply mindblowing.

All of this is housed in a rugged, pedalboard-friendly chassis that's sure to withstand countless performances, whether live or in the studio.

A New Era Of Synth Innovation

The SY-1000 is, quite simply, the most advanced guitar/bass synth that BOSS has ever produced.

Combining a custom DSP with a newly developed sound engine, this awesome Synth unit offers incredible levels of articulation, with a super-fast response, and much more besides.

Deep Sound Design Tools

Whilst each of the basic patches on this effects unit includes three simultaneous instruments, you can combine and layer them for endless sound options.

Each of the instruments features a huge set of parameters that will allow you to shape your tone, mix your sound, and even alter your tuning - all of which is fed to the SY-1000 via a 13-pin GK input.

In addition to this, there's also a standard 1/4" jack input, which gives you the option of blending a clean instrument signal alongside the three synths.

Expressive And Dynamic

Thanks to the all-new design, this Dynamic Synth can track your instrument's characteristics with greater detail than ever before.

You can choose from ten oscillator waveforms, then shape the sound with six different filters, amp control, two LFO', and even two powerful step sequencers!

Whilst this unit performs at its very best with the GK input, you can also use the standard 1/4" instrument input too.

Two Incredible Step Sequencers

Once you've shaped your basic synth sound, you can then infuse it with movement thanks to the two onboard step sequencers.

Create complex textures with an impressive sixteen customisable steps, with options of controlling pitch, filter, and amplitude independently.

In addition to this, each step features thirteen different envelope curves, offering you unprecedented sonic control.

OSC Synth and GR-300

In addition to the powerful Dynamic Synth, the SY-1000 also features two additional instruments - the OSC Synth and GR-300.

With the OSC Synth you get an analogue-style engine with plenty of filter options, ADSR control, and high-def sound thanks to the GK input.

With the other instrument you get a perfect sonic recreation of the Roland GR-300 - a legendary analogue guitar synth from the 1980s, used by some of the biggest names in the business at the time.

Advanced Guitar/Bass Modeling And Poly FX

Not only is the SY-1000 an incredible synth in its own right, it's also packed full of refreshed instrument modelling options, taken from historic BOSS and Roland GK gear.

Included with these you'll find a huge selection of electric, acoustic, and bass guitar types, each of which features independent tuning, EQ, virtual amp settings, and much more besides.

In addition to this, you also get a highly expressive VIO Guitar instrument, allowing you to alter the input signal's envelope and harmonic characteristics to produce a bowed-instrument-like effect.

Not only that, but with GK processing the Poly FX instrument offers an array of complex, richly textured voices with a high-res definition.

Flagship-Class Effects And Interface

Shape your sounds any way you want, thanks to the inclusion of the same signal processing and user interface seen on the flagship GT-1000 multi-effects processor.

The interface allows you to quickly edit instruments and effects, change routings, create parallel chains, and much more, whilst the ready-to-go Variation libraries allow you to save instrument and effect setups galore.

Configurable Control

With its 8 footswitches, you can select patches, banks, and even two control assignments, or even reassign them to pretty much any function you want.

In addition to this, the Manual mode allows for fast on/off access to the SY-1000's three instruments and normal input, along with the capability of supporting up to four external switches or two expression pedals.

Not only that but whilst the Main and Sub outputs are usually used for mixing stereo signals, they can also be configured for use as four discrete outputs, along with a dedicated EQ on each.

Add the moveable effects loop into the mix, and you can even smoothly integrate your existing pedal setup.

USB Compatible

As if all of that wasn't enough, the SY-1000's USB Audio/MIDI interface allows you to record tracks directly to your favourite DAW.

Thanks to the GK input, you can also record each of your instrument's strings to a separate audio track, either processed live or captured dry for later processing!

In addition to this, you can use the Guitar-to-MIDI/Bass-to-MIDI function to play soft synths, record MIDI sequences, input notation data, and much more!
