The CTM-30 Little Stubby marks the latest leap in advancement for Ashdown, and features improved tone, portability, control, and design to make it the latest icon in the Tube Bass amp market.
All-Valve, Powerful, Compact
Taking inspiration from the classic tube heads of yesteryear, and combining classic tube power and tone with Ashdown's reputation for reliability and build quality, the latest entry into the wonderful CTM family is the all-new CTM-30 "Little Stubby" - a powerful 30 Watt, all-valve bass head with a serious attitude.
Premium-Grade Construction
Ashdown's hand-built, Custom Shop produced CTM range has long been the go-to option for many of the world's top bassists, boasting the likes of Nate Mendel (Foo Fighter), James Johnson (Biffy Clyro), and James LoMenzo (formerly of Megadeth and Black Label Society) amongst the ranks of their regular users.
At just 400mm wide (a little shorter than a bowling pin), 220mm deep, and 80mm tall, this 30-watt powerhouse is a compact and easily transportable amp head that brings the classic all-tube tone with ease.
The innovative design features horizontal-mounted valves and transformers, helping to make the amp super-portable - in fact it's amongst the smallest, most portable tube amps in the world.
Classic All-Valve Design
Little Stubby features an upgraded 30-watt EL84 driven power section, and is fitted with a single instrument input with "Hi" and" Low" input sensitivity switch, so it's ideal for both passive and active basses.
In addition to this, the preamp is fitted with ECC81, ECC82 and ECC83 tubes, working perfectly together with the 3-band EQ section, Volume, Drive and Feedback controls to deliver a contemporary all-tube tone. Finding that "sweet spot" couldn't be easier!
