New Ridyon Capsule Technology

Blending the best of all three microphone classes, the Aston Element is equipped with brand new Ridyon capsule technology.

The Aston Element uses phantom power which allows the incredibly lightweight active-moving-coil-diaphragm to offer amazing, high end recording mic sensitivity but with the strong bass and rejection capabilities you'd expect from a dynamic mic and the beautifully open and natural sound of a ribbon mic.

Larger than most, the Aston Mic's 1.5" capsule design allows a lot more freedom of movement to the diaphragm. As a result, you get much better bass response with the Aston Element than you'd get from other microphones in its class.

Internal Isolation and Fantastic Capsule Acoustics

Within the Aston Element's capsule is a 360-degree suspension system.

Other other microphone capsules are mounted at a single point which makes the microphone more susceptible to external vibrations.

The Aston Element, however, has the capsule suspended in a 360-degree elastomer suspension system for super shock protection from any direction.

Further improving the incredible sound capturing of the Aston Element is its near-perfect capsule acoustics.

Through extensive research, development and testing, the Ridyon is able to provide an incredibly flat frequency response.

The Aston Element's grill acts as a diffuser for the source audio while the contoured shape and slimline monocoque capsule housing ensures the audio source travels directly to the capsule with minimal diffraction.
