After a 15 year absence, Ashdown's flagship ABM EVO lineup sees the re-introduction of a 300 watt head. Introducing the Ashdown ABM-300-EVO IV 300w Bass Magnifier Head - a powerful, versatile bass head packed full of amazing tones.

Ideal for Aspiring Professionals

The Ashdown ABM-300-EVO IV is an ideal solution for when the larger 600 and 1200 watt heads are just too much.

Perfect for use in the studio, or for medium-to-large sized venues, this head still benefits from all of the tone-shaping and valve-powered goodness of its bigger siblings.

Featuring that familiar, trademark illumated Ashdown VU meter, a class-leading preamp design, 9-band EQ, and much more besides, this 300 watt bass head is the ultimate combination of style and functionality.

Valve Drive Preamp

As with previous models in the ABM EVO IV lineup, the ABM-300 pushes more current through the 12AX7 preamp valve. This results in not only more drive and harmonic content than the Mk III, but it enables you to go from pristine cleans to the fullest bass overdrive sound currently available.

This Drive sound can be pre-set on the amp's control panel, and then re-called / de-activated via footswitch, giving you the option of adding and removing drive mid-song - perfect for live performances.

9-Band EQ

Not only does the EVO IV lineup come with the traditional Bass, Middle, and Treble EQ parameters, it also features six sliders that can accurately cut or boost your levels at 100Hz, 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3kHz, 2.6kHz and 5kHz. This allows you to dial in that perfect tone with pin-point precision, and (like the drive section) can be switched on or off via footswitch.

Other Controls

A mainstay with Ashdown amps, the easy-to-use 'One Knob' dynamic compressor helps you to fill out any mix.

In addition to this, there's also the 'One Knob' ABM Sub-Harmonic generator, which adds an octave below what you're currently playing. This is independelty controllable, and really allows you to fill out your bass sound, adding anything from a hint of rumble to a full-on window-rattling sub-tone.

Bags of Connectivity

True to the ABM EVO IV ethos, the ABM-300-EVO IV is fully loaded with connectivity options. In addition to the standard Instrument In and Speaker Out sockets, you get a Tuner output, Line out, transparent FX loop, and even a Line In.

There's even an Output Muting switch, which completely cuts the signal to the DI output, but leaves the tuner output 'live', allowing you to tune up in silence mid-set.
