Carefully selected by the master craftsmen at Alvarez in St.Louis, the MFA66CESHB utilises a solid African Mahogany tonewood for unrivalled acoustic resonance and harmonics at this price point. Nothing but the highest quality solid tone woods are used are used to construct the Alvarez Masterworks guitars, and this allows Alvarez to make the tops just that little bit thinner to heighten vibrations.
These tops are then supported by Alvarez’s FST2 scalloped X bracing design, which, when compared to conventional X-Bracing, shifts everything forward a little, moving the axis of the X closer to the sound hole, allowing a larger area of the top to vibrate more freely, and you can really hear and feel it in the way these guitars resonate.
