Storage & Connectivity
As standard MPC X and MPC Live ship with 16GB of internal Micro SD storage. Seeking to incorporate your own samples without tethering to a computer? Both models feature a 2.5” SATA drive connector providing expanded storage via SSD or HDD hard drives. Additionally, sounds can be accessed and added to the library using the built-in SD Card slot or the USB thumb drive.

MPC 2.2 Desktop Software and Firmware Update
The MPC 2.2 desktop software can now be controlled by any external MIDI control surface such as keyboards and pad controllers enabling hands-on control of MPC’s predefined parameters. Learn your MIDI controller’s physical controls to the MPC software’s Pads, Q-Links, Transport or other assignable parameters.
MPC ships with a range of factory MIDI maps for popular MIDI controllers.
When you’re running MPC 2.2 using the Akai MPC X, you can control external analogue synth gear using the X's built-in CV ports. This is great if you’re a producer who wants to use the MPC sequencer to control your favourite analog drum machines and synths.
