The Mapex 'Maximus' 14" x 6.5" Jeff Hamilton Signature Snare was designed in combination with the king of swing himself, to produce a snare that fits perfectly in any setting. A meticulously measured, deep and wide snare bed ensures tip top articulation in any style, while Mapex's SONIClear bearing edge technology makes tuning a breeze.
Vintage versatility. Mimicking the old-school sound of calf skin, but with modern reliability, the Mapex Maximus' Remo Fibreskyn Diplomat head has a tone to fit the bill, whether you're providing a full band's backbeat, or light brush-work in an intimate setting. Slip seamlessly through three different snare wire tensions with the ultra-smooth Trick Drums multi-step throw-off, while the in-line, locking lugs and gloss piano black finish complete an exquisite snare drum, with a subtle, classy look.

Special Cut
The top and bottom bearing edges are cut at 45 and 35 degrees respectively - cleverly designed using Mapex's SONIClear technology to maximise head contact, resulting in a deeper, fatter tone and incredibly consistent tuning. This, combined with a specially engineered, 2.7mm deep and 5.5" wide snare bed, produces unparalleled response, even when played extremely lightly or with brushes. And with exclusive, in-line locking lugs, you can be sure your tuning will stay solid, gig after gig.
SONIClear Bearing Edges
Mapex have developed their SONIClear bearing edge technology to allow the drumhead to sit flatter for improved contact between shell and head. They believe this results in a stronger, deeper fundamental pitch, easier more consistent tuning and a significantly expanded tuning range. The result is drums that are much quicker to tune and that stay in tune longer. This means you can spend far less time tuning and much more time drumming. Winner!

Returns
If you and your item aren’t getting along, you have 14 days from when you receive the goods to contact our PMT experts either by phone or email to return your item.
